Welcome to CogniMobility, your premier hub for deep insights into the next generation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). We delve into the core technologies from embedded sensors and edge computing to cloud analytics and AI that are transforming how we understand and manage urban mobility.
Modern transportation networks face immense pressure, leading to congestion, inefficiency, and deteriorating infrastructure. At CogniMobility, we believe the solution lies in a data-driven revolution. We explore how turning the Vehicle into a Sensor (VaaS), deploying innovative ITS sensing technologies, and leveraging advanced mathematical modelling and simulation can create smarter, safer, and more sustainable cities.
Our focus is on the entire data pipeline:
- Sensing & Data Acquisition: From in-vehicle OBD-II telematics and smartphone probes to roadside IoT sensors and video analytics, we cover the technologies that gather critical data on traffic flow, vehicle health, and road pavement condition.
- Edge & Fog Computing: We examine how processing data at the source on the vehicle or at the roadside enables real-time decisions for congestion alerts, pothole detection, and incident response.
- Cloud Analytics & AI: We explore how aggregating data in the cloud powers macroscopic insights, predictive simulation models, and AI-driven strategies for system-wide optimization.
- Modeling & Simulation: Fundamental to our work is the development and analysis of mathematical models that accurately describe complex traffic dynamics, allowing us to simulate scenarios and predict outcomes before implementing solutions in the real world.
